An Inclusive Colorful Paradise

As soon as you enter Morgan’s Inspiration Island and venture past Wheelchair Valet, you’re transported to an oasis of inclusion. Here, guests are greeted by the colorful characters, tropical tunes, and warm water of Rainbow Reef, presented by Whataburger. With Ultra-Accessibility™ in mind, Rainbow Reef offers a warmed-water experience to accommodate guests that may be unable to tolerate cooler water temperatures.

A Tropical State of Mind

Rainbow Reef has many custom, interactive features, including a friendly spouting octopus, an array of spraying seahorses, water tables, and sensory play elements. Rainbow Reef will be fun for the whole family! Guests can explore the splash pad or kick back in one of our lounge chairs for a moment of relaxation.

[My son uses a wheelchair] and him getting to be a part of everything was just pure joy. There is a splash pad with warm water for those kids that can't regulate their temperature like my son. And they had a boat ride he could ride in his wheelchair. Such a great day!!

Did you know?

Rainbow Reef is designed for guests of all ages that may not be able to tolerate regular water temperature – even in the heat of the San Antonio summer!

In 2017, Whataburger made a $1M contribution citing their desire “to build connections in a safe place that feels like home” as their motivation behind the generous gift.

Rainbow Reef has many custom features designed exclusively for Morgan’s Inspiration Island, including a huge spouting octopus, a starfish, a sea turtle and a colorful lineup of six giant squirting seahorses.
