Dolly Parton, Eva Longoria Toast Unique Morgan’s Wonderland During 10th Birthday Celebration

WHO: Singer/songwriter Dolly Parton, actress Eva Longoria and other celebrities; Gordon and Maggie Hartman, co-founders of ultra-accessible™, fully-inclusive Morgan’s Wonderland theme park in San Antonio; daughter Morgan, who inspired the park and numerous other ventures to help the special-needs community.

WHAT: “Cheers to Ten Years” virtual gala that aired recently on KSAT-12, San Antonio’s ABC-TV affiliate.  It now can be seen by clicking on the following link:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9F37L42pow&t=4s. The hour-long production focuses on the park’s mission of inclusion over the past decade as well as on new venues designed for individuals with special needs.

WHY:  To celebrate the unique park’s “Decade of Difference,” share plans for the future and raise funds so non-profit Morgan’s Wonderland can remain in operation and continue to admit everyone with a physical or cognitive disability free of charge.

ETC.:  Under normal circumstances, more than 500 Morgan’s Wonderland supporters would have filled the park’s Event Center for the annual gala.  However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the park made the difficult decision to close for the remainder of 2020.  Yet hopes are high that reopening can occur early next year just as soon as health authorities give the green light.  Highlights of the virtual gala include Morgan Hartman’s 27th birthday celebration, an Inclusion Fusion Show Choir performance, celebrity cameo appearances, remembrances and sneak peeks into the future. Morgan’s Wonderland, which is completely wheelchair-accessible, features more than 25 attractions including rides, playgrounds and gardens.  In its first decade of operation, the park attracted 1.9 million guests from all 50 states and 76 other countries.  For more information, visit www.MorgansWonderland.com.

The Morgan’s Wonderland Inclusion Foundation (MWIF), which was created to coordinate fundraising, planning and communication among all the Morgan’s Wonderland-associated entities, presented the gala.  The Morgan’s Wonderland “family” includes Morgan’s Inspiration Island splash park, Morgan’s Wonderland Sports, Morgan’s Wonderland Camp and new projects such as The MAC (Multi-Assistance Center at Morgan’s Wonderland).  For more information, visit www.MorgansWonderland.com/MWIF.
