Broadway Bank Partnering with Morgan’s Wonderland to Introduce New Checking Account that Supports the Special-Needs Community

Broadway Bank is partnering with Morgan’s Wonderland in the launch of the new Morgan’s Checking  account, which financially supports the ongoing mission of the unique theme park—to offer an inclusive environment free of physical and economic barriers. The park allows those with and without disabilities to come together for fun and a better understanding of one another.

Named after Morgan Hartman, Morgan’s Wonderland is the world’s first ultra-accessible™ theme park, while the Morgan’s Checking account is part of Broadway Bank’s new campaign—Banking for a Cause™.  The debut of the campaign coincides with the 9th anniversary of Morgan’s Wonderland, which thus far has attracted more than 1.6 million guests from all 50 states and 73 other countries.

Broadway Bank will financially contribute to the mission of Morgan’s Wonderland by donating 10 cents for every debit card transaction associated with a Morgan’s Checking account. In addition, customers who open a Morgan’s Checking account will donate $5 each month to Morgan’s Wonderland through an automatic debit.  To further the cause, customers have the option to  round up all debit card purchases to the nearest whole dollar, and Broadway Bank will donate the difference to Morgan’s Wonderland on the customer’s behalf.

“Broadway Bank has a legacy of giving back to organizations like Morgan’s Wonderland, with a mission to strengthen the communities the bank serves.  Banking for a Cause™ is another way that Broadway plans to continue this effort through everyday financial transactions,” stated Broadway Bank CEO David Bohne.

“Banking for a Cause™ speaks volumes about the generosity and community-service orientation of Broadway Bank,” said Gordon Hartman, CEO of The Gordon Hartman Foundation, driving force behind the creation of Morgan’s Wonderland, and Morgan’s dad.  “We hope many current and future Broadway Bank customers will want to sign up for the Morgan’s Checking account and help people of all ages with special needs.”

Special-needs individuals and their families face many challenges because of expenditures for medical treatment, therapy, caregiving, specialized equipment and other necessities, Hartman explained.  That’s why from the beginning of Morgan’s Wonderland he made it a policy to admit anyone with a special need free of charge.  Banking for a Cause™ will help Morgan’s Wonderland continue offering free admission to those with physical or cognitive disabilities.
