The Wharf

A Unique Ultra-Accessibleâ„¢ Experience

After 15-minutes on The Wharf, we often have to remind ourselves we’re still in San Antonio, just miles from IH-35 (and at work…oops!). The Wharf is an Ultra-Accessibleâ„¢ wooden pier that juts out into our 8-acre lake, offering a quick and serene getaway for guests ages 1-to-101. Maybe it’s the breeze, or the sound of waves splashing ashore, or maybe watching the wildlife actually warps time, but The Wharf is captivating in all the best ways.

Fun for the Whole Family

On The Wharf, you can try your hand at catch-and-release fishing, aim water cannons at twirling targets, or just kick back and enjoy the breeze. Our lake is fully stocked, courtesy of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and offers the perfect backdrop for creating lifelong memories. Come drop a line during your next visit; we’ll have bait stocked and rods ready!

My favorite thing to do [at Morgan's Wonderland] is fishing. I love to fish. I also love seeing other people smile when they get a fish. Captain Chris is the best teacher in showing people how to fish—giving learning tools to everyone to about fishes. He is very calm and supportive.

Did you know?

We use hotdogs as bait!

Guests have an opportunity to catch largemouth bass, channel catfish, and bluegill perch.

Our friends at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department have been stocking the lake since 2009.

The first stocking included 2,229 fingerling channel catfish, about the size of a finger.

The first and third Friday of every month, Morgan’s Wonderland offers Coffee & Conversation, a program where guests can enter the park an hour before opening to enjoy quality time on the Wharf. Learn more HERE.
