Morgan’s Wonderland, Morgan’s Inspiration Island To Hold Job Fair on Jan. 31, Feb. 1

MWL workers

In preparation for their 2020 seasons, unique Morgan’s Wonderland theme park and ultra-accessible™ Morgan’s Inspiration Island splash park will hold a job fair Friday and Saturday, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, to fill hourly and entertainment openings.

Interviews will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days, said Jessica Lizardo, general manager.  “It’s very important that prospective employees apply online and schedule an onsite interview,” she added.  “Once we receive an applicant’s resume through our website, we’ll send him or her an email confirmation containing further job fair details.”

Lizardo said job-seekers should submit information about themselves to www.MorgansWonderland.com/about-us/employment.

Morgan’s Wonderland, which will open Feb. 28, and Morgan’s Inspiration Island, which will open May 9, needs ride hosts and operators, staff members in food and retail services, employees in guest relations/admissions and first-aid personnel (minimum EMT-B preferred).  In addition, the Edutainment Department is seeking mascots/costumed characters and actors.

“Morgan’s Wonderland and Morgan’s Inspiration Island are truly inspiring work environments that exist nowhere else in the world,” Lizardo said.  “They were designed with individuals with special needs in mind and built for everyone’s enjoyment.  We’re looking for caring, compassionate people  with the requisite job skills to join our team.”

Morgan’s Wonderland offers more than 25 attractions including wheelchair-accessible rides, playscapes and gardens.  At Morgan’s Inspiration Island, guests enjoy all kinds of aquatic fun in the sun, thanks to spouts, geysers, dumping buckets and lots of other get-wet gizmos.  The splash park includes five major, tropically-themed splash pads, the River Boat Adventure ride and support facilities such as the Wheelchair Valet, where guests can transfer out of their personal chairs into specially-designed waterproof wheelchairs.

Both Morgan’s Wonderland and Morgan’s Inspiration Island admit anyone with a physical or cognitive disability free of charge.  Both are located at 5223 David Edwards Drive in Northeast San Antonio, a half-mile west of IH 35 at the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Thousand Oaks Drive.  For more information, visit www.MorgansWonderland.com.
