WHO: Gordon Hartman, founder of The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation; wife Maggie and daughter Morgan, namesake of Morgan’s Wonderland and Morgan’s Inspiration Island; Morgan’s Inspiration Island guests eager to enjoy the new attraction.
WHAT: Brief festivities marking the opening of Morgan’s Inspiration Island, the world’s first splash park designed with special-needs individuals in mind and built for everyone’s enjoyment. It’s the newest addition to unique Morgan’s Wonderland theme park.
WHEN: 0:45 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017.
WHERE: Morgan’s Inspiration Island at Morgan’s Wonderland, 5223 David Edwards Drive (at the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Thousand Oaks Drive a half-mile west of IH 35 in Northeast San Antonio).
WHY: To officially open Morgan’s Inspiration Island. First to have the opportunity to experience the new park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. will be individuals and families that have purchased 2017 Morgan’s Wonderland memberships. ETC.: Six major attractions offering multiple ways to splash and play comprise $17-million, tropically-themed Morgan’s Inspiration Island. The new splash park also offers special waterproof wheelchairs on a first-come, first-served basis.
